Checkered Rainbow Cake

What do you get when you cross RAINBOW cake and CHECKERED cake?

Let me get this straight. THIS is what you get :D !!

Let me repeat, THIS is what you get~

Checkered Rainbow Cake
It's rainbow yet it's checkered! Not as neat as I expected, but I put a lot of effort making this thing. Colors quite disappointing too, I used a different brand, not what I tend to use. Really happy though ;;) Because I've never seen like this in the net. I hope I'm the first person to make this- IF IT'S POSSIBLE-lol

Got this EGG TWINS! It's real!

They didn't separate even though you replace them in a bowl. Well you can-maybe with a spoon-I didn't do it though, it's sweet to see them together <3
Then my maid told me that if this egg hatches, what you get is ONE chick with TWO heads instead of twins, so this is NOT SWEET anymore to me despite my amazement when I saw it. That's all for now, see you soon :)

Pizza!

I was thinking about my url "sugarypizzapie" but I have no single post about pizza or pie. Kinda odd, right?

Making pizza was real fun, especially when you make the pizza dough yourself! Or if you want to safe time, you can purchase the ready-made ones.

*CLICK HERE* for pizza base recipe.
Mozzarella! <3
I topped my pizzas with beef sausages, pineapples, chicken nuggets and stir-fried pancake syrup onions (trust me it taste great!)
There you have the yum! Mangiamo!

Anyways, I've been craving for the rainbowy fruity pebbles the whole time..

Green Tea Brownies

Green tea brownies! I took some moment to re-think about the title. If it's green, why does it called brownies? It should be GREENIES, right? Okay, no.

Took only some easy ingredients and tools. You don't even have to use an electric mixer!

Ingredients : (serves 8) -found on cook.it
  1. unsalted butter (40g (0.09lb) )
  2. Shredded White chocolate (90g (3 and 1/6 oz))
  3. brown sugar (50g (1/4 cup))
  4. egg (2)
  5. cake flour (50g (1/2 cup))
  6. Matcha green tea powder (1 tbsp and 1 tsp)
  7. Baking powder (1/2 tsp)
  8. White Chocolate chip (40g (1 and 1/3 oz)
Method :

-Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celcius
-Microwave butter and shredded white chocolate until it melts.
-Add eggs a third at a time
-Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
-Sprinkle with white chocolate chips or green m&m's!
-Bake for 18-20 minutes in a greased loaf pan.

I brought this to my family gathering. We held a Chinese Ceremonial to remember my Grandfather's birthday.

Can you spot my brownies??

Thanks for reading! bye bye

Macarons I made yesterday, didn't turn out so good. Some have 'small feet' and some cracked.. :(

Chocolate Cornets

Japanese Bread! I know I said this quite a lot, but it's another recipe from cookingwithdog! YAY :D

I've seen this before on the internet. It has a cute shape of POOP or shell, but I prefer poop anyway :P
But DOESN'T taste like it. It's filled with chocolate and taste nice!

Before
After 1 hour

I don't make bread as much as I bake cakes. So I was so shock when I saw my bread dough puff up that much..

Uneven shapes :p
I had an enjoyable time making this, since I made them together with my sister, her friend, and my lil' cousin ~(^_^~)(~^_^)~ I think I'm going to try another bread recipe when my sisters came home on 26th!

The Moment You Have been Waiting for! -Krabby Patty Secret Formula

Ever been so curious about Spongebob's Krabby Patty? Feeling desprate to taste them? If YES then continue reading.

I'm not so sure if this is the real secret formula though. But I gave it a try. It was okay, just okay. I don't know why fish in Bikini Bottom love it so much. Maybe it doesn't taste so good because it was not made in the master's hand :p

I found the recipe somewhere :

Actually I have found two versions, one is in the picture and second is on a video on youtube. But I forgot the title and I'm afraid I can't give you the link. Sorry :( But it's pretty much the same but in the second version, the patty was cooked in a skillet first, then baked for 10 minutes on 160 degrees Celcius.

Spongebob's
Mine. *whoops*
Feel free to share the recipe everywhere. Just don't let plankton know ;;)

Wedding Cake Pops

What's cuter than a cupcake? A cake pop of course!-Bakerella

My aunt gave me a cake pop-ing book from bakerella last week. Reading it again and again doesn't bore me at all. Every page consists uber cute masterpiece! Makes me wanna make them :p

A cake pop is basically a mixture of cake crumbs and frosting which rolled into ball on a stick. Something you can make with left over cake in a fancier and sweeter form ;;)
So, I made some for my cousin's wedding on June 9th as a wedding gift :) Here they are :

Brides and Grooms on the go!

I use Bakerella's chocolate cake and chocolate butter cream recipe. I'm too lazy to type it :$ just open their website or use your favorite recipe.

Thanks for reading my post ta-ta :D

another post after a long break

Hi, it's been a long time since my last post. Do you miss me? ;;)
Actually during the long break, I have cooked/baked some food I wanna post in here. But I am (will always will- I guess) too lazy to search the photos that are buried under other 2,525 *catchy number, eh?* photos. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack, you know.

So, I only have two of them in hand right now. Meringue Cookies and Kani Cream Korokke (another food from runnyrunny999)

*crisp*

Green Tea and Chocolate Meringue

Kani (Crab) Cream Korokke

 MERINGUE :

I'm going to talk about the meringue first, so that you don't get confused :p I think making meringue cookies is like making macarons but minus almond meal? It's easy and only took FEW ingredients to make for the basic ones (egg whites, sugar, vanilla extract, and cream of tartar). You can skip the cream of tartar and add a pinch of salt instead. SEE?! You can make this anytime. If you don't have those ingredients I guess there's something wrong with you *teehee*

Swiss Meringue Cookies
recipe adapted from somewhere

-4 egg whites
-1 cup of sugar
-a pinch of cream of tartar/salt
-1/4 tsp vanilla extract or other flavorings

1. Put everything except vanilla in a double boiler (You put ingredients in a heatproof metal bowl, then put the bowl on a pan filled with water)
2. Constantly whisk the mixture until it's warm to the touch or water is simmering (just almost boiling point, not boiled)
3. With an electric beater/stand mixer, whip up the egg whites until stiff and glossy peaks form.
4. Then, put your flavoring and mix until just combine.
5. Pipe / scoop dough onto a cookie pan (greased and lined with a cookie sheet or parchment paper)
6. Bake on a preheated oven (100 degrees celsius) for 50-60 minutes.

Notes :

To make green tea meringues -add 2 tbsp green tea powder
chocolate           -add 2 tbsp cocoa powder

*I always add 1/4 tsp vanilla extract for any flavor though*

KANI CREAM KOROKKE :

A crispy yet creamy tasty Japanese treat! Just click on the link I gave you above for the recipe :)
In the video, he (the cook) divided his dough into four pieces. I think it's too big, so I made mine into 13 balls *I gave my maid two balls BEFORE I took the photo. I DIDN'T eat it*

Thanks for stopping bye, have a nice day in the kitchen! :D
